GPA Credits Fourth $100 Energy Credit To Customers’Accounts Over The Weekend

Written by on July 29, 2024

(Fadian, Guam) – The Guam Power Authority (GPA) announced today that the fourth
increment of the energy credit was posted over the weekend to all active GPA accounts.
The July credit, the fourth in a series of six $100 credits, can be viewed on customers’
online accounts.

“We are very pleased with the rate in which we can get the energy credits into our
customers’ accounts,” said GPA General Manager John M. Benavente, P.E. “The credits
have caught up to the billing schedule, and customers can expect two more increments
through September.”

The $600 energy credit extension was made possible by the Prugråman Ayuda Para I
Taotao-ta Energy Credit program (Public Law 37-104). GPA worked with the Department
of Administration to expedite the payments and upload three $100 credits in June to satisfy
the April through June billing periods.

GPA GM Benavente added, “Gov. Leon Guerrero, Lt. Governor Joshua Tenorio and
Senators from the 37th Guam Legislature have prioritized the energy credits for our
customers as seen in the three increments posted in June. They understand how the
credits have helped families to utilize that savings for other necessities in the home. We
continue to receive positive feedback from our customers about how the credits have
helped them to make ends meet and save on their power bills during the warmest months
of the year.”
